The main instigator of murder and potential execution is the play's protagonist and villain, Richard III, who later becomes King Richard III. Shakespeare uses the deceitfulness of Richard III to cast him as the villain within the first few scenes within in the play, beginning with the soliloquy at the start of the play with Richard already telling the audience the potential plot of his plan to become king. With Shakespeare doing this, he is keeping the audience interested in the play straight away, as the audience will be wanting to find out if this "plan" of Richard's works out, or if it all falls the pieces.
What can be called execution in this of Shakespeare's , can be basically classed as murder throughout the whole of the play, as with all of Richard's "executions" and murders, there is no true purpose other than his lust for the throne, for the deaths of those characters.
The first of the murders happened to be Clarence, Richard and Edward's brother, which became a potential execution and actual murder when Richard deceived is brother, and King, Edward......
