Mass media is a term that refers to the print and electronic means of communication that carry messages to widespread audiences. Print media include newspapers, magazines, and books; electronic media include radio, satellite radio, television, motion picture, and the internet. Advertising, which falls into both categories, is also a form of mass media. I want to focus on one form of electronic media- television, and advertisements shown during different time periods on different channels. At first I watched the TBS channel from 5pm to 5:30pm (The King of Queens sitcom). During that show I observed various commercials addressing a variety of audiences. For example, there was advertisement about Subway sandwiches in which people of different race and age participated, but everyone was presenting the same object. This kind of ad shows people that this product is good for everyone. Other examples included two advertisements addressing children (or their parents). One of them is Reese's cupcakes which is about coloring mini cupcakes for Easter, and another one is Mini-Wheats cereal which......
