Sleepy Hollow: Written Story or Movie? Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

The movie Sleepy Hollow had Johnny Depp playing the lead character Ichabod Crane. From what I remember the movie was in color but I was proven wrong when I seen it again in black and white. The written version and the movie had its differences but the movie took a different spin for dramatic effect and to extend the original version. At points the movie did try to keep the eerie flow of the story but couldn't seem to stay on track because of how short the written version was. The movie started off with Ichabod traveling to Sleepy Hollow and he arrived at a home where they were throwing a party. You could see a man and a women kissing in the shadows of the door as Ichabod stood by waiting for the door to be answered. When I first seen this I thought of the party in the story thinking maybe the man and women in the shadows was Katrina Van Tassel and her boy toy Brom Bones. But Ichabod met Katrina and Brom Bones inside playing a game with the men of the town. Katrina met Ichabod when she took off her blindfold to see who she had kissed.
