"Money, money, money must be funny in the rich man's world." The song that performed by ABBA describes how a girl desire to be rich. In the tragedy play Death of a Salesman, the Loman Family who lived in the Brooklyn neighborhood of the New York City was people who want to be rich. Under the pressure of capitalism, the main character Willy Loman, who was a salesman, was one of the victims who could not survive the threat of capitalism. Willy's two sons Biff and Happy disappointed their father by losing their own value and self-realization. The time line was set in the post-war when the book was published in a generation which people were chasing for American dream but also overwhelmed by the capitalism. People who have money get the power to rule the world in the society of capitalism. Money is superior to everything. In the play, capitalism brings fortune and wealth to rich people, however, it kills the American dream which most "average" Americans had and believed.
