This particular situation occurred during professional experience one. Although not a serious ethical problem, it did, nevertheless, still pose a problem. The school, for privacy reasons, will be named XYZ High School, and the teacher involved will be named Kate. This incident occurred on a Friday, on the way to sport. The students had boarded the bus, the roll had been marked, and Kate and I settled down at the front of the bus. The bus reached a roundabout approximately 30 metres from the school, and we saw a car coming around towards the direction of the school. It had red P-plates attached to it, and had four female Year 12 students in it, who had clearly left the school and were on their way back. School policy states that all students, including senior students, need prior permission from the teacher to leave the school. This permission is only granted for a legitimate reason, which needs to be validated by a parent or guardian.
