Last Song Book Review Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

The novel The Last Song, written by Nicholas Sparks is a very enjoyable read. It is a family drama and a love story. Readers are able to connect to the family drama, as well as the relationship problems that are shown in this story. The growth of Ronnie's character, the thoughtful plot, and the important message contributes to the book's appeal. The character of Veronica "Ronnie" Miller unfolds as the reader is taken along on her summer journey. First, Ronnie's mother forces her to go see her father, whom she has not seen or spoke to in three years (since her parents' divorce). Ronnie forgives her dad, and finds out that he has a progressive cancer. She stays with him until he dies. Ronnie, shows the reader that she grows into a loving and forgiving daughter and she sticks by someone she loves in their time of need. Secondly, Ronnie met a girl, Galadriel, who also went by the name of Blaze. They become friends, but when Ronnie is "flirting" with the guy Blaze like, she gets upset.
