In this essay I am going to discuss William Shakespeare's play Hamlet. Shakespeare has many characters who share very similar interests, virtues, and attributes. In this essay I am going talk about the main characters in Hamlet and their involvement with power, loyalty and revenge. The first virtue I am going to discuss is Revenge. In the play Hamlet there are three characters that have very similar things happen to them. Hamlet the main character is trying to avenge his father by getting revenge on the current King Claudius. Claudius murdered the king for the thrown. Hamlet gets his revenge on the king in the end. The second character who seeks revenge is Laertes who's father Polonius is killed by hamlet. Laertes is out for revenge on Hamlet and seeks Claudius' help with the matter. During a duel Laertes poisons his sword and strikes hamlet he realizes he has done wrong and is killed by Hamlet. Fortinbras is out for revenge for his father's death and attacks and defeats Norway getting vengeance and becoming king. The second repeated virtue In the play is power which is ......
