Several characters in To Kill a Mockingbird are treated unfairly by other members in society? In Harper Lees To Kill a Mockingbird several characters are treated unfairly by other members of society and this is shown in the novel through themes. There are four main themes in To Kill a Mockingbird that are being explored, which are prejudice which breaks into two parts: racial and social prejudice, also there is courage maturity/growing up and friendships/relationships. These themes are expressed through characters such as Tom Robinson, Boo Radley, Attikus, Scout, Mrs Dubose, Calpurnia, and Jem. In To Kill a Mockingbird prejudice is the most authoritative theme. Prejudice takes place throughout the novel in two forms racial prejudice and social prejudice. The victim of racial prejudice is Tom Robinson a black negro and the victim of social prejudice is Boo Radley. The victims of racial prejudice are the Negro's but one who coped it the worst was Tom Robinson. Tom Robinson a mocking bird in the novel is convicted of beating and taking advantage of Mayella Ewell, a white femal......
