In the article "The Most Successful Revolution", Irving Kristol talks of the importance of the American Revolution and how little it is appreciated with the value that it should be. Kristol quotes "One even gets the impression that many of us regard ourselves as too sophisticated to take the Revolution seriously." Its in this article that Irving tries and accomplishes his goal of promoting the importance and successfulness of the American Revolution through the comparison of our revolution to others, what it provided for our country, and the government that it created.
In the article Irving explains that the American Revolution was much different than others from the past and that is why it was successful. He provides the point that other revolutions showed a much stronger sense of nationalism and pride in what they were undertaking. Americans had such a pride but did not express it in the same way.
