Critical Incidents that have shaped my thinking about teaching Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report
I have no experience in teaching but I have gathered some personal awareness of me, as a student and being inspired by my past teachers to seek interest in this profession. I took some moment to reflect back on my times at both my primary and secondary school and the several critical incidents that have cultivated my thinking about teaching.
I could vividly remember my days and my teachers at primary school especially Miss Maria. Personally I found that she was just the ideal teacher, hence, she was one of the reason why from first year I had already begun to shape my thinking about teaching. She had this technique in teaching that made all her students want to learn without them even realizing it. In Mathematics class she literally brought marbles to practice addition and subtraction. She always had visual graphics to help us remember what item began with the first letters in the alphabet. Oh, and she had rewards for the best performers in class. It had this incident where I didn't perform my best in a test but despite of that she gave me a sticker and said work harder next time......
