Many Conflicts of Huckleberry Finn Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

Conflict is the major part of any story, but the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is definitely not your typical story. There are several different conflicts throughout The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn that Mark Twain used to show what the characters experience. This novel would not be the same if it weren't for the countless amount of conflicts the characters are faced with. One type of conflict that is important to the novel is man vs. society; many instances of this occur during the story. This is where a certain character struggles with society's belief. For example, Huck allows Jim to come along with him even though he is aware of the consequences if he gets caught. Huck thinks about turning Jim in numerous times, then he considers Jim's feelings. "Jim won't ever forgit you, Huck; you's de bes' fren' Jim's ever had..." (90). Huck hears Jim say that and instead of doing what society would want him to do, he does what he thinks is right.
