Four different California Sea Lion our located at the Como Zoo. These animals were observed in their indoor and outdoor habitat. Background information was found at the zoo exhibits and was researched before going to the zoo. The behaviors of the captive animals were then compared to the behaviors of the animals in the wild. From this we were able to conclude that the California Sea Lions at the Como Zoo exhibit desired traits from their training that they would not have in the wild; however, they do lose some of their natural traits such as deep diving. The Sea Lions in captivity at The Como Zoo are overall a good thing. This enables people to see firsthand some of their specific behaviors and it rescues the specific Sea Lions that would not have survived in the wild.
