DB Cooper - Man of Mystery Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

Throughout the history of the United States there have been many airplane hijackings, but only one is left unsolved. Casey Mcnerthney writes " In the thirty six years since his jump, the FBI have gained little more hard evidence "(1) The FBI has no clue who this mysterious man who boarded a plane bearing the false name Dan Cooper is. When one hears Dan Cooper the name may not seem familiar, the reason for this is that a reporter mistakenly called the man D.B. Cooper in an article and the name stuck. D.B. Cooper is still alive, and despite the many other theories he did not jump from the plane in Washington, but he waited for a better area to jump in. On November 24, 1971 Thanksgiving eve a man with a passport that read Dan Cooper boarded a Northwest-Orient commercial airplane flying out of Portland Oregon. The letters that spelled this false name were written with red ink and in all capitol letters. He was dressed in black wearing a black clip on necktie and some dark sunglasses.
