The hunting and gathering phase was important to history.The transition from hunting to agriculture is seen today as part of the foundtaion of early human civilation. Once of earth's early human groups was known as the homo habilis. Known to be a "scavenger," the homo habilis would rely off of scavenging for food instead of hunting. These early Hominids relied on left over meat and bones from other kills made from carnivorous animals. Through evidence, tools were found dating back to the Stone Age. Material used to make these tools were not just stone but also bone, wood and skin. were used by chipping the edges of the objects perfect for skinning and killing larger animals. The extensive use of these tools caused the homo habilis to master there weapons thus killing more animals and having more food/meat to eat. The homo habilis through out time extended there utensil use and hunting methods which eventually impacted the mentality of the species. Like the homo habilis, the homo erectus are of the same species but they have a larger cranium which indeed came from the evolut......
