Different ways of entering foreign markets have been one of the most attractive topics for many business studies. The main purpose of Tse David's research is to expand an understanding of the unexplored aspects in the existing international business areas. The unexplored aspects are alliance formation of investing firms with other foreign firms when they enter Chinese market and effect of "operations-related" factors on company's entry strategy. Also, the decision to choose China as a potential market was not accidental. First of all, the study observes the adaptation of the companies' strategies to many changes in Chinese environment since 1979. Second, China has become the second largest recipient of FDI in the world. This paper aims to highlight and challenge the major findings of Tse David's research, as well as to evaluate and analyze the research methods used which led to the particular outcomes.
