Vincent Van Gogh - Tumultuous Mind Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

Vincent Van Gogh painted many portraits throughout his lifetime and I always enjoy analyzing and starring into each and every picture. I often wonder what was going through his mind at the time he created each work of art, and asked myself, "Was Van Gogh crazy, delusional or just a genius?" Out of all Vincent Van Gogh's works of art, two caught my eyes and seemed to be almost identical, but yet unique. For instance, both pictures had things in common, but have some differences. Both depict the night sky and have an emphasis on the stars and how beautiful the night can be. Both paintings by Van Gogh are of a landscape. The first painting at the bottom of my essay is Starry Night created in 1889. He created Starry night over the Rhone a year before his more popular creation Starry Night around May or June of 1888 while he was living at the Café de la Gare. According to Wikipedia.org, Van Gogh created Starry Night during a stay at Saint Paul de Mausole; a hospital he committed himself to.
