In our daily lives we all go through different varieties of social roles or status's. I know that from the past two years I have experienced many roles. With many of these roles you play and important role and many of these have expectations for each. They also tell whether our roles are achieved or ascribed. Each role or status also tells a social institution within each. My ascribed status's are; a female, a teenager, American, Catholic, a daughter, a sister, a grand-daughter, a niece, a cousin. Being a female I must be a woman of class and . The social institution of this would be gender. Having the role of being a teenager I must be obedient, organized, responsible and mature. The social institution for this would be age. The role of being an American would be proud of her country, a worker, a fighter, a believer and being free. The social institution for being an American would be ethnicity. Being a Catholic is taking on the role of being faithful, a person who goes to church, believes in god, and forgiveness. The social institution for this role would be religion.......
