I would never trust a person who said that a player taking steroids wasn't cheating. With the growing "black plague of sports" and how it affects everyone, anyone who thinks it is okay to take steroids has either taken them or has some very serious moral issues, either way I wouldn't trust them. Steroids are illegal and un-healthy, steroids lead to violence and early deaths, and players who use steroids are cheaters and their records should be removed from the books. I don't believe that taking steroids is any different than having a corked bat. Even if steroids don't help hand-eye coordination, steroids can turn a pop-fly into a homerun. Steroids, if nothing else, are illegal. Every professional sports organization had a steroid policy in affect for at least five years before baseball did. Why did it take so long for baseball to get the picture? Because of Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa's great home run race changed the face of baseball. Some say that the home run race saved baseball from years of attendance decline due to players' union strikes and lack of excitement.......
