One of the ethical dilemmas I encountered while working, as the Information Technology and Services (IT&S) manager at one of the two hospitals I have managed for the past ten years was embezzlement and bribery. This involved the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and the marketing director of that one hospital. I will discuss how the experience of this ethical dilemma by analyzing and evaluating the downfall of one of the best and most visited hospitals in the Gulf Coast of South Texas. This ethical dilemma is what can cause many large organizations such as Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) go bankrupt and shut down its services being provided to many customers. Experience The ethical issue I experienced was embezzlement and bribery that included two of the most innocent and responsible employees I had a pleasure to work with at that time, which was early in my career as the IT manager at this one hospital.
