'Legally Blonde' directed by Robert Luketic is about Elle Woods a typical fashion student from California who gets dumped by her boyfriend for being 'too blonde'. Elle then decides that to win back her boyfriend she must go to Harvard Law School. Luketic explores the themes of stereotypes and discrimination by using editing and camera shots. The opening sequence of the film is edited into a montage showing how Elle Woods lives. It starts off with a close-up of Elle's blonde hair. It then shows her sorority house with lots of girls in cheerleading outfits, working out and getting changed, Luketic adds these bits for the male audience. The shot then zooms in on Elle's table that has blonde hair dye, lots of make-up, a homecoming queen sash and there is also a close-up of her Chihuahua. We then see her getting a card from all her girlfriends saying 'Elle and Warner forever' because Elle thinks that Warner is going to propose to her. All of these examples help describe a stereotypical L.A. blonde that cares a bit too much about her appearance. In the restraint scene Elle......
