Compare and Contrast: Batman (1989) and The Dark Knight (2008) Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report
The storylines between Batman and The Dark Knight are very similar, but they still remain very different at the same time. Many of the scenes in the original Batman movie are almost identical although they are a little updated with better picture quality and newer technology.
The main thing in the movie that I noticed was the difference between Batman taking out Gotham's crime elements in Batman and The Dark Knight. In Batman he has two allies, the good cop named James Gordone and the DA named Harvey Dent. The three work as a team to take out the crime of Gotham. In the Dark Knight, the joker makes Batman confront his personal morals all by himself and basically just pushes Batman to the point that he cannot take anymore like a child that falls to his knees and just gives up.
One of the similarities between the Batmans in both movies are that both batmans are against crime which creates a sort of pull for a crazy psychotic killer to come to power.
