The 1960s was a time of great change. There were advances in technology that greatly improved the lives of people. Similarly, significant events in history changed the world. In addition there were lots of important things happened in sports. There were also lots of advances in music.
First of all, there was advancement in technology because the United States sent out Apollo 11 a spaceship to land on the moon. They sent it out on July 16, 1969. The size of the spaceship was 363 feet tall and weighted six million pounds. It was launched out of Cape Canaveral, Florida. Aboard it was Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins. Controlling it was Neil Armstrong. At 4:17 US time Armstrong stepped on the moon Aldrin walked out 20 minutes later. This helped the world explore the atmosphere at a higher level.
Secondly, some events also happened in the 60s like the Vietnam War and the Black Panthers. March of 1965 was the first time ground troops were sent to Vietnam. The US troops fought against the Vietnamese who teamed up with Vietcong. The United States were dying every day so the US ......
