Everyone knows Tiger Woods. Some know him as the best professional golf player in the world, who has won over 80 PGA events, while some know him as a fallen hero. Tiger Woods, the king of golf, did not rise to fame without fighting a few battles along the way. He was born on December 30, 1975 in Orange County, California. At the tender age of two he appeared on the TV show, "The Mike Douglas Show". At the age of eight he hit an 'eighty' which was an amazing feat. (Right now my highest is a 92 and I'm fourteen). During his childhood he was challenged emotionally and physically. He played golf for hours before his father, Earl Woods, called him in. Quoting Tiger Woods, "My dad made me the man I am today". Ironically, it was his father who first embarrassed him. When Tiger was 14, his father was involved in a sex scandal. It was the speech he made post his father's death that inspired me to start playing golf. Now I play golf every weekend.
