Curlews Cry Analysis Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report
"The Curlew's cry" is a story about fighting emotion, and self-conflict. The reason why I say this is because Sheila is alone waiting for her lover Neil who is at work on a North Sea off shore oil rig, to come to Canada where Sheila is. Neil sends her letters very often that are very detailed about how work is and the people that he meets in the pubs and stuff like that. Some of his letters go on for 6 pages. And Sheila letters are just threw together in her spare time. She didn't send him a letter after he sent his last letter because little Neil is coming to Canada in like a mouth and she is wondering when he is going to come to see her. Mr. Sikirski is an old man that lived in the apartment next to her, Mr. Sikirski is like Sheila because he is waiting to get reunited with his family which had passed away and he is waiting to die so that way he can be together with them once again. In the paragraphs below I am going to elaborate on the conflicts, purpose of the short story and things like that.
