Happiness is usually found within a state of balance, which only oneself can fully provide. Other external factors certainly contribute to such a state of contentment, but that can depend on interpretation. Anyone can influence an-others emotions. When someone is satisfied with life they are at ease with themselves and others. If pleasure is not in someone's life then the person can be judgmental and feel like a victim. In turn, they will try to victimize others to obtain the content that they feel is rightfully theirs. Willy is an accurate example of this natural behavior. Wether it is subconscious revenge or just a strategy to feel satisfied, he victimizes people around him and vice versa. Specifically, this includes his friends and coworkers, his wife Linda and his son Biff. Willy never appears completely at ease with his friends/coworkers. He has a low self-esteem which creates a competitive side to his character. This competitiveness evokes that of others in attempt to regain their status of superiority over Willy.
