For centuries, we have faced many issues in society and we have yet to overcome most of them. There is an issue that has not been eliminated from society anymore than racism has and it became a belief of one sex being more superior to the other. Sociologists and psychologists called these beliefs sexism and defined it as the act of discrimination based on a person's gender. This act of discrimination has been mostly directed against women, and it's been producing continuously stereotypes among these genders. Sexual discrimination has been a long standing problem for hundreds of years and it was not really known until the 20th century via the mid-sixties.
One of the first acts of discrimination against gender in the 20th century is when women were fighting to vote. During this time, men were the only ones that could vote and women were not allowed. Women have fought and created a movement to get their right to vote and for equality.
