In the past the definition of intelligence failed to be grasped and remembered by people. In the late 1920s one psychologist defined intelligence as "whatever intelligence test can measure." Others in these years believed that intelligence was defined as knowledge and the capability to resolve issues. The definition an individual may get today for intelligence is the capability to obtain and apply knowledge and skill. Howard Gardner had a different perspective believing that human-beings use multiple different intelligences everyday to succeed and accomplish goals in their lives. What he recognized consisted of seven different intelligences including visual-spatial, bodily-kinesthetic, musical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, linguistic and logical-mathematical. I believe that bodily-kinesthetic, musical and intrapersonal intelligences describe myself and have an impact on my own personal success.
