Technology is always improving and becoming more sophisticated. For example, every year they come out with a new iPhone. It comes with new updates and faster software, which supposedly will benefit us more. Along with cells phone updates, there are updates for computers and social networks. Facebook is constantly changing each page and making it easier for people to talk to their friends, share pictures, and meet new people. At first glance, the Internet seems like the best invention ever, but when it comes down to it, the internet is harming us. The Internet distracts us, makes us impatient, and even makes us forget information. People get distracted very easy, so the last thing we need are social networks because they are addicting. In the article, "Is Google Making Us Stupid?" by Nicholas Carr, the author admits he loses focus after reading two or three pages in a book. He says it's hard to read things the way he reads Internet information. This example shows if the information isn't handed right to us, we will lose interest and become distracted by something else.
