Act 2 of Romeo and Juliet Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

Scene one in act two starts off with Romeo leaving the Masquerade party he went to. After seeing Juliet, Capulet's daughter, he is certain he is in love with her. He sticks around to see if he can get one last glimpse of his love for the night. He climbs the wall that separates the Capulet's house and the Montague's house, and hides out side in their orchard. Meanwhile, Benvolio and Mercutio are looking for him and making jokes about how in love he is with Rosaline, the girl that Romeo was madly in love with before he saw Juliet. Little did they know though, that Romeo has moved on from her. Scene two in act two is known to be the most famous scene in the literature world. Romeo is still hiding in the Capulet's orchard wanting to see Juliet. Juliet comes onto her balcony outside her room. She doesn't know that Romeo is near, so she begins to speak her private thoughts about Romeo and the situation. Romeo is listening to her speak and speaks his own thought about her. He finally speaks out and startles her, and Juliet gets mad that he was listening to her say some things that she d......
