12 angry men Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report
In the movie Twelve Angry Men, there is a jury that has to discuss the verdict of a boy who is held accountable for the murder of his father. Each of the men have to take into consideration all of the evidence and witness testimony that is pushing toward a guilty verdict. In this movie the jury deliberation process does not exactly follow the deliberation process illustrated in the book.
Unlike the book, after the deliberation begins and the foreperson is chosen, in the movie he chooses himself, the twelve men vote to see where each of them stands in the conviction of the boy. After the vote, only juror eight had an opposite vote from the other eleven jurors. Besides voting first, the rest of the deliberation process was pretty much the same. Once the jurors voted, they discussed the evidence, their argument points, and why they voted guilty or not guilty. The process went back and forth from the discussion to voting, and the jurors changed their votes throughout until they came up with a definite answer, and a verdict for the court.
