The American Dream has lately been heavily questioned. Many believes that the dream that has enticed people from throughout the world has faded away. As the currently greatest economic power, the third most populous country in the world has lost its own people's confidence of the promising future this land may offer. But I start to question what the central of this dream is? Who this American dream is for? Is its existence still alive for the American-born generation? As we step further in reassesing the American dream, we have to decide what the essential core of the American dream is. Is it a self-driven driven dream that sees the whatsoever system is in charge, just as another barrier to overcome? Or is it the other way around, that sees the system as a tollway that should facilitate one through the success story, thus responsible for keeping the way clear open? When many argue against theAmerican dream, I argue against the death of it. It is the matter of who can survive the competition in the well of scarcity.
