Investigation to show the distribution of rest harrow (Ononis repens) plants on different stages of the dunes.
Abstract:
The main aim of the investigation was to determine if there is a significant difference in frequency of Ononis
repens plants on different stages of dunes. Preliminary investigation indicated that there will be a greater
frequency of rest harrow plants on the fixed dunes compared to the semi fixed dunes. Transect line was used to
show where exactly the semi fixed and fixed dunes were, tape measures were also used to outline the y and x
axis up to 20 meters and a half meter quadrat was used to record the percentage cover of rest harrow plants.
The results of statistical test showed that the frequency of rest harrow plants is different from fixed to
semi fixed dunes at 5% significance level.
