Suboxone a drug and the way this works is that it binds to the same receptors in the brain without causing the same euphoric effect. The actual drug is Buprenorphine and when combined with a drug called Naloxone it is Suboxone. Buprenorphine in itself is an opiate but with fewer side effect and less likely to OD. Buprenorphine is an opioid agonist. What does that mean, right? What it does is it mimics the natural action of the body. The release of the "pleasure” chemicals in the body.
