Katrina Experience Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

Night was falling. The setting suns rays lit up the sky above the horizon. The wind was blowing just enough to cool it off but not enough to matter for the mosquitos I was having to swat away. Sat on the back porch, the sky was painted with an array of what looked like a mosaic of pink, orange and yellow pastel colors. I overheard on the T.V. inside something on the news about a hurricane somewhere in the Gulf of Mexico. I took a sip of my Veuve Clicquot champagne, the effervescent drink rolling out of the glass and into my mouth. I swished it around for a few seconds, the sweet scent of the drink clinging to my nostrils. The buttery taste of the drink was left in my mouth, I particularly like the taste of this champagne, as its cheap but still tastes really good. The sun disappeared behind the horizon and the sky turned dark. I was gazing at the place where the sun had went down. I realized that sunsets were mesmerizing. Only when the mosquitos started coming in great numbers again was I was brought back to reality. I stood up from my lounger chair, went over to ......
