Analysis of The George W. Bush Presidency (Term 1) Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

On January 20th, 2001, George W. Bush became the 43rd president of the United States. By taking the title of President, Bush was bestowed with a number of important roles, each demanding different aspects of the President’s character and intelligence. As American citizens, it is our duty to evaluate and reflect upon the President’s actions, and take action ourselves when it comes time to vote. Becoming the President was not Bush’s first major challenge/accomplishment. In 1994, he was elected Governor of Texas, and again in 1998 with an overwhelming 68.6% of the votes. Since he’s come into office, Bush has been faced with a number of dilemmas, most significantly 9/11 and the “ War on Iraq”. He has passed a number of questionable acts, mainly the Patriot Acts I&II. Even Bush’s “No child left behind” is questionable to some. Overall, George Bush has faced a tough presidency thus far, and is bound to continue on the same rugged path.
