Companies have spent millions and millions of dollars to advertise their merchandise, in magazines, newspapers, and websites directing towards middle age women because they might be at a point in their life where health and nutrition is essential. As I skim thru magazines, many of the advertisements has made a key concept that they have the solution to strengthening the body as well as the way to looking and feeling young. As a women hits middle age, the skeletal system starts to become less dense. Though it might seem unnoticeable, some chemical composition takes into effect, which will have an overall effect on strength. Many women know and neglect the fact that the structure of their body is on a rapid downhill spiral, yet many of them argue that they still feel capable of doing what they did fifteen to twenty years ago. A Women’s Day magazine, I came across an ad for Oscal, which specifically is for middle age women who lack calcium deficiency. Catching my attention first was the catchy lines “Think Young. Think Os-Cal.” “Keep your bones “younger” with Oscal” (44). ......
