Death of a Salesman Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

Some may seek the land of opportunity for success, for a new life. This is one reason thousands of people migrate to this country every year. The jobs pay well, the housing built strong, and the economy is rising. You must experience it for yourself. Many experience the American Dream that is advertised, but in fact, it is full of emptiness. This type of Dream was experienced by the Loman family. An example of one of these people is Willy in the novel Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller. Throughout the novel, Willy’s actions impact everyone he is close to and destroys many people’s hope for a successful life. Firstly, his ignorance of being a father to Happy was dissipated from lack of encouragement and attention. Second, Willy’s ruthless temper creates a longing for love from Biff. Lastly, Willy’s blind faith evades him from the truth that his dreams are gone and gains rapid psychological decline. To start, opinionated by the bias liking of Biff from Willy, Happy’s life becomes empty. In a flashback, Happy and Biff are found as kids polishing the car by their father. Willy r......
