The Great Gatsby Movie and Book Comparison Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

The Great Gatsby is a literary masterpiece written by F. Scott Fitzgerald in 1925. In 2000, Robert Markowitz directed an A & E film version of Fitzgerald’s literature. Markowitz applied a similar plot line, his actors and actresses depicted actions comparable to the book’s characters, the theme was consistent between the movie and the book, and finally, his symbolism was correspondent to the literary piece . He was successful in creating a visual version of The Great Gatsby that accordingly portrayed the characters, themes, and symbolism from F. Scott Fitzgerald’s book. In Markowitz’s motion picture of The Great Gatsby, the characters’ qualities reflected the actions and attitudes of the literary work. Nick Carraway is the neutral, laid back narrator of the story who basically kept his thoughts and opinions to himself. During his narrations was when one would understand how he perceived his surroundings. For the most part, Carraway was not fond of Tom and Daisy Buchanan in either the movie or the book.
