In an ever growing society, corruption reigns king; success is achieved through the failure of others; money is gained by cheating and lying; fame is built on the bodies of others; and power will come at any cost, even your life. These fatal flaws are only human- or is it that humans are the fatal flaw? Mary Shelley, in the novel Frankenstein, satirizes the corruption of society. She shows the reader the ugly side of humanity and lets the reader see the consequences of their actions.
