Although tv has become a huge part of the American lifestyle over the past fifty years and has evolved into our main source for entertainment and has also become learning tool for people, there is still much debate whether it is healthy for the mind to watch it or is it telling us how to live our lives and showing us how we should act. Recently, there have been many questions raised over what values children learn from tv and if these values are the right ones they should learn during the time when their brains are developing into the personalities that will stick with them the rest of their lives. In my opinion, I believe that what is being shown on tv these days is pretty bad but there are a lot of restrictions that parents can put on their tv to keep their children from watching negative shows and encourage them to watch educational shows that will benefit them.
