History of Terrorism Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report
In the early morning of September 11, 2001, the deadliest terrorist attack in history took place in New York City and Washington D.C. Members of the terrorist group, Al-Qaeda, hijacked four commercial airliners full of fuel, en route from the East Coast to the West Coast of the United States. Two of these hijacked planes were flown into the World Trade Center in New York City, while a third was flown into the Pentagon near Washington D.C. The fourth hijacked plane crashed in southwestern Pennsylvania, due to the brave efforts of the passengers on board who thwarted the terrorists plans. Approximately 3000 people were killed on this day that will live in infamy, according to United States President, George W. Bush.
