Imagine a world where no emphasis was ever placed on what gender category you fit into. Clothes, shoes and all other aspects of life are unisex and hence no clear distinction is ever made between males and females. Is all this possible? Can the world really be a place without gender stereotyping? Better yet, can a child be raised in such an idealistic world?
Gender stereotyping is an ideal that has very much formed a way living, acceptable by society. As far back as history has been recorded, it has been quite evident that the stereotyping of gender roles occurred and are still in full effect. It is this clear division that has caused many uprisings throughout time. Trying to change these views on gender stereotyping would be like breaking tradition. And as said by Brian Pronger in his writing Sexual Mythologies, he states to question tradition is to have the wrong attitude toward it (229).
