Who has the power to determine what is morally wrong? I always thought that an individual had the right to choose his or her own morals and beliefs. If this is true, then when it comes to testing on animals, why do so many people pass judgment on others? If a gene, capable of curing fatal human diseases had been discovered, it is questionable as to why anyone would want to hold off using those cells in medical procedures. That is unless of course, an animal harbors this magical gene. When it comes to the value of animal and human life, who gets to determine which is greater? Or are all living things equal? A considerable amount of people would argue both sides of this ethical dilemma. The way I see it, humans will go further throughout their lives. They have the ability to accomplish great things, and with the advances of animal testing, may even find an easier cure for diseases.
