The world of astronomy is endless, no pun intended. The infiniteness of this science amuses not only researchers and scientists, but also the general public. In school, for instance, students learn about our planet's biosphere and atmosphere, about our solar system and the planets that coexist within it, about the millions of stars splattered across the skies, about comets and asteroids, meteors and meteorites. Astronomy can get very technical and intense, though, especially at the college level. One may study the history of astronomy and learn about its discoverers. The Greeks and the Europeans contributed an abundance of time to research and to the discussion of this magnificent topic. Galileo, for instance, with the introduction of his telescope, was thus able to open up a new perspective for society; a perspective in which the common populace could engage in studying the stars, the planets, as well as other bodies ruling the heavens.
