12 Angry Men Movie Analysis Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report
The movie begins with the judge talking about the case. He says this case involves a premeditated murder (when murder is planned). The judge also says that if there's a reasonable doubt (not sure) on the kids guilt then they must have a verdict of not guilty. He also says that it must be a unanimous verdict (everyone has to agree on one decision).
Then the jury deliberations start. They take a hand vote to see what each juror thinks. Some of the jurors hesitate to raise their hand but because of peer pressure they vote guilty. All eleven jurors vote not guilty except for one. The judges realize that they have a hung jury (when they cant make a decision). Henry Fonda says, It is not easy to raise my hand and send a boy off to die without talking about it first. One juror responds with strong racial prejustice, Were supposed to believe this kid
