Finding Nemo: An Analysis The bond between a father and a son is irreplaceable and full of unconditional love. Finding Nemo, directed by Andrew Stanton and Lee Unkrich, is the brilliant story of a father’s endless search for his beloved son. Marlin, a sensitive and sarcastic clownfish, treasures the only family he has left. He suffered the loss of his wife and all their children in a viscous shark attack, with the exception of one, Nemo. When this only son, Nemo, a vivacious young fish, is taken from Marlin, he is determined to swim the entire length of the ocean until he finds him. Throughout the film, the outstanding use of color, three-dimensional effects, and light helps to depict the theme of an endless journey. The beginning of the film sets a tone similar to that of the Disney classic, Bambi. The audience is introduced to a happy and loving couple that is getting ready to have children. Very quickly and deviously, Marlin loses all he loves except Nemo in a shark attack. As a result, Marlin becomes very overprotective and has a tough time letting Nemo live his o......
