Personal Moral Ballpark
Moral ballpark, anything that can be open to moral assessment, that is, can be said to be morally good or morally bad. Wow, thatÂ’s a broad topic so that is why I am going to use these four elements of the moral ballpark to help me explain my personal ballpark. I will start with moral language, and go from categorical principles to societal recognition ending up with suffering. Also I am going to tie in the movie clip from Return to Paradise and the way I would react to the situation they have at hand.
My moral language, I have been receiving arbitrary signals all my life from everything around me that have had a role in shaping my morality. These signals coming from my parents in how they raised me and from the church that I grew up in, also coming from other sources like the media, school and friends. These signals have come to shape what I think is appropriate or inappropriate.
