Muhammad promotes this in his Koran.¡¨ 1 This paper seeks to understand and take advantage of the Muslim focus on worldly success, especially as it relates to government, in combination with the emerging civil religion in America to find a way to evangelize American Muslims using the Lutheran teaching of the Two Kingdoms.
While Christians have been encountering Muslims since the 7th century, it is only in recent history that we have been given the opportunity to reach Muslims who have become citizens of a country in which civil religion has a unique place in governing the people.
