The Fate of the World's Future Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

During the last century, the Earth’s surface has warmed by more than half a degree. This global warming is a consequence of the greenhouse effect, which is caused by emissions of greenhouse gases from human activities. These emissions are projected to cause significant global climate changes including temperature, sea-level rise, the availability of water and associated nutrients from rainfall and runoff from land, and an increased number of storms. Such climate changes may have negative effects on coastal and marine ecosystems that are already stressed from human development, land-use change, and environmental pollution, showing the need for us to develop solutions to stop global warming.
