Hubert Aquin, lhomme, lécrivant : Aquin est né à Montréal, prês du parc la fontaine, en 1929. Il vient dune famille modeste. Il fait ses études collégiales avec des jésuites au Collège Sainte-Marie. Il fait ses études en philosophie à luniversité de Montréal et après il suit des cours à lInstitut dÉtudes politiques de Paris. Il revient à Montréal en 1954 et travaille comme animateur à Radio Canada et réalisateur à lOffice national du film. En 1960, il devient membre du Rassemblement pour lIndépendance Nationale (RIN) dont il deviendra vice-président. Entre 1961 et 1971 il dirige la revue « Liberté » qui avait un caractère très nationaliste. En 1964 il est arrêté pour port darme illégal et quelque mois plus tôt il a déclaré quil veut protester contre les conditions sociopolitiques que le gouvernement fédéral faisait subir au Québec. Il est accusé dactivités subversives. Il a été arrêté quatre mois. Cest pendant sa réclusion dans linstitut psychiatrique Albert Prévost quil a écrit son premier rom......
